Make a “meaningfully green” holiday greeting card

by Corey

My daughter, Zoe (age 8), loves to draw.

So each holiday season, instead of buying greeting cards for family and friends, we feature one of her sweet images, custom created for the front of that year’s card.

Meaningful? Check.

Green? Not yet.

We green up the cards by printing them on 100% recycled content paper, purchased at our local office supply store.

The icing on the (eco) cake? We save money, too.

Here is Zoe’s 2009 Holiday Card. (Outside of the card above; inside of the card, below):

Are your 2009 holiday cards DIY? Have ideas you’d like to share? We’d love to hear ‘em – just add your comments, below.

Please check out MyGoodGreetings at mygoodgreetings.com

We offer beautiful customizable earth-friendly photo cards, invitations and stationery. We print on digital presses, which virtually eliminate paper waste and our toners are biodegradable. The FSC Certified recycled card stock is processed chlorine-free and manufactured with electricity that’s offset with Green-e certified renewable power sources. Our card stock contains 50% post-comsumer recovered fiber and our envelopes contain 100%. Even our address labels are recycled!

It doesn’t necessarily cost more to print green. Compare our prices and you’ll see that the costs for recycled products from MyGoodGreetings are very competitive. We’re committed to providing one-of-a-kind designs, great prices and high-quality products that are environmentally sound. Why? Because the way we see it, every day is Earth Day!
