Uber cool! Ecojot’s new “Give” campaign
We love Ecojot’s unique, Earth-friendly line of products for celebrating green. Their wrapping paper, cards, calendars and gifts have a whimsical signature “look” and are made (in Canada) with 100% post-consumer waste recycled paper. (Yeah!)
But while chatting with Ecojot’s co-owner, Mark Gavin, on our radio show, Celebrate Green!, we discovered a new reason to love the company: their new “Buy One, We Give One” campaign!
Although fairly self explanatory (the campaign’s name does give it away), here are the details:
Ecojot donates a notebook for every Ecojot journal, jumbo journal and sketchbook purchased to school children in developing countries, where even basic school supplies (such as notebooks) may not be affordable to students. (By December of ’09, 6000-7000 books had already been sent to impoverished schools in Tanzania and Zimbabwe.)
Makes celebrating green feel even better, eh?
Note from Corey & Lynn: Thanks, Ecojot for your “3G” vision, mission and practices. By incorporating 1) Good for people, 2) Good for planet and 3) Good for communities into your business model, you are being the change we ALL wish to see in the world.
Un-green competitors, take note! (Get it? )
