Yes you CAN make a 4th of July centerpiece in 5 minutes flat

Looking for a way to jazz up your table for the 4th and beyond? We’ve got just the idea for you. Even if you’re not a crafter, we promise, you can do this one.

Gather a few empty cans of different sizes, some paper scraps (any type of paper will work including newspaper, wrapping paper, etc.-but nothing too stiff-in any appropriate color scheme or paint the paper when finished wrapping), a few embellishments (whatever you have on hand from bottle caps, to stars, to ribbon) and glue and/or double sided tape.

Then simply cut paper to fit around the cans. Or rather, to fit as far around cans as it fits. If a piece doesn’t go all the way around, cut another and glue it over the opening, collage fashion. If you’ve got time, glue on photos or make a design with smaller pieces of paper. After you’ve got the base papers on, add embellishments as you like.

Fill cans with water and add flowers (preferably fresh from the garden).

As you can see below, you can use the cans singly, place them on top of each other or group in the center of the table.

You also could punch holes through the cans and paper with an awl and insert a beeswax candle inside for a pretty glow.

Your guests will be wowed. If you make some centerpiece cans of your own, be sure to show us. Comment below with a link to a photo.
