Review: Biscuits by Lambchop (reviewed by a real dog)

by Ivy Colwell-Lipson

As a dog who unfortunately shares my human family’s tender tummy, I don’t get many treats.

That’s because most are filled with ingredients I wouldn’t feed to my human family much less to moi!

So when I was offered the opportunity by Abba (my human grandma) to try Biscuits by Lambchop, I jumped at the chance (not very appropriate for a columnist of such high repute, I realize, but sometimes I just can’t help myself.)

When the treats arrived, I brought Abba the scissors and asked politely if she would stop what she was doing (which I doubt was all that important anyway), and open the box!

First I had to check out the packaging. Great! It can be recycled! And whoa! Who is that cute looking guy on the front? He’s definitely my type.

Next I studied the ingredients although to be absolutely honest, I can’t read that well without my glasses. But by squinting I made out: garbanzo bean flour, apples, potato starch, tapioca flour, sorghum flour, fava flour, coconut oil, honey, calcium carbonate and cinnamon. No yucky stuff here. But sorry, human family, these are for me! Keep your paws, I mean hands off ‘em!

OK. Count down to the big test. Here we go…

Now I have this one little tiny itsy bitsy quirk. I don’t like to eat in front of anyone, human or animal, so I took the biscuit to my favorite private patch of grass and munched it slowly, savoring every bite.

OH MY GOSH. These are AWESOME! AMAZING! Yahoo! Spread the word!

What can I say? That’s my review.

Note: I was not paid for this review. In fact, as stated above, Abba purchased the treats for me, me and me alone. And even if I had been paid, know that I would never ever ever ever be influenced by money. I have the most wonderful human companions in the world—what would I buy anyway? have no trouble at all adhering to this blog’s Review Guidelines. However, if by chance, let’s just say hypothetically, someone out there in webland wants me to sample a food product and pay me to do so, I probably wouldn’t turn it down. As long as its gluten free.
