Review: HankyBook
When I first saw mention of the HankyBook, for instance, I thought it was a silly idea.
A hanky in the form of a book with “pages?”
Just one more thing to buy that nobody needs.
But out of curiosity (and because I saw it was made from organic cotton), I went to the website and saw the video which completely changed my mind.
I now think HankyBook is a brilliant, handy invention for anyone with a baby or who has a nose they need to blow.
The HandyBook is simply sheets of organic cotton sewn into a small book that easily fits into a purse.
(Note: In the picture, the HankyBook 3-pack looks quite big. But that’s because my new 4 lb plus grandgirl is holding the package. Each HankyBook is only about 4×6″.)
The beauty of it is that if you wipe a little nose or a spill, the page on which you made the deposit is enclosed! Next time you need to wipe again, you’ve got another page. Throw the book into the wash with a full load of laundry just as you would any handkerchief.
I ordered a threesome to try myself. I switched to hankies from tissue awhile ago, but don’t like the fact I have to wad them up after one use.
The HankyBook’s organic cotton fabric is wonderfully soft and if I did have a cold and used one, I’m thinking I’d avoid a sore, red undernose.
And what could be better to wipe kids noses? Or mouths? Or tummies? I’ve already used mine on our new baby, and she gave it two thumbs up. Or she would have if she could have.
Seriously, don’t turn your nose up at the idea of a HankyBook. Next time you have a cold, you’ll thank me.
