Sweet schedule for International Chocolate Day
Tuesday is International Chocolate Day. Better get planning!
Here’s a schedule that any chocoholic will want to follow.
10:30 a.m. Wake up. (Hey, who wants to get up at the crack of dawn on such a great day?) Wash with Nature’s Gate Chocolate Mint Handsoap and follow up with Coco-Zen’s chocolate lotion.
10:45 a.m. Savor a cup of Larry’s Bean’s Fair Trade, organic, shade grown mocha flavored coffee or Green and Black’s organic hot chocolate.
Noon: I suggest a backwards lunch. Life is short! Eat dessert first! (It can’t hurt once or twice a year). Choose from any number of favorites from homemade organic chocolate pudding to organic chocolate cake. Of course, if you’re lucky enough to have an organic bakery nearby…well, you’re lucky.
1 p.m. Put on some Rosemary Dogaba Chocolate lip balm before heading out to check out some books on chocolate at the library.
3 p.m. Snack time! Nuts are healthy, right? Well, just imagine the benefits of chocolate covered nuts! Or choose the new Sjaak’s Eli’s Earth Bars. These chocolate bars are not only organic and Fair Trade, but five percent from the sale of each bar supports children’s charities. Wow! Who knew you could do good just by eating chocolate?
7 p.m. Unless you are a totally crazed chocolate fanatic, I don’t suppose you’ll be whipping up chocolate soup to start off your meal. But chocolate chili is not just something to dream about. If you search, you’ll find lots of recipes for it. Just be sure to use organic chocolate, preferably shade grown and Fair Trade too.
10 p.m. While chocolate does not contain caffeine, it does contain stimulants so depending on how quickly you want to fall asleep and dream of all things chocolate, you may or may not want to finish off the day with a square of say, Endangered Species dark chocolate with cranberries and almonds. That’s entirely up to you!
Sweet dreams.
