Healthy Eating with the Olympics

by Kia

Our family has had so much fun watching the Olmpics! It’s been a great opportunity to chat about how amazing our bodies can be when we practice healthy habits everyday.

Choosing to eat healthy whole foods and eating a rainbow of produce everday is a habit, just like getting up every morning and going for a run, we get to choose the habits we live out day after day. That’s the good news. It’s not easy to break out of an unhealthy habit but it can be done with practice, persistance and a fun attitude. If you want your kids to be healthy eaters then it’s up to you to create and maintain healthy eating habits right from the start because as we just said it’s not easy to break out of bad habits.

Watching these amazing Olympic athletes is an excellent source of motivation and inspiration for living a healthy life. Their dedication to their sports is incredible and it’s a good time to remember that our bodies require healthy wholesome foods in order to thrive and that’s the goal right? We don’t want to just survive our days…we want to thrive and one of the best ways to make that happen is to take care of ourselves and give our bodies nourishment not just food
