5 Green stocking stuffer ideas for lip-balm-aholics
I admit it.
I’m addicted to lip balm.
But I won’t be getting any in my stocking this year.
The truth of the matter became clear when my husband recently braved the contents of my vegan purse to locate his car keys (I couldn’t find mine, so I used his, of course!) and retrieved not car keys, but twelve - count ‘em, twelve - lip balms.
What is THIS? He asked.
Oh! You found my orange and ginger Dr. Bronner’s! Fabulous! Thank you, honey! I said, reaching out to take them from his hands.
Not just ONE, orange and ginger, but THREE, He counted. What on Earth do you need three orange and gingers for?
My lips, silly! I retorted. (Geez, wasn’t that obvious?)
He kissed me on the cheek. This Christmas, your stocking will NOT be filled with lip balms, Mrs. Claus. You already have enough to last you the next fifty years.
*Sigh*
Unfortunately, he is right. But just because my stocking will be void of balms doesn’t mean yours has to be (or ever will be if you don’t make the same foolish mistake I did and give your hubby reason to inspect your handbag). So rule #1 is: if you have a lip balm addiction, don’t leave the evidence in places where people who don’t understand lip balm addicts might find it. Rule #2: make sure the lip balm you are addicted to is made with safe and sustainable ingredients (such as the ones below).
Here is my list of top five (green) products for your pout - just perfect for stockings or purses.

They have a great lip balm. I like the Peppermint one.
I can so relate to that! But, since I often don’t use a purse, they accumulate in my jacket pocket. Love Dr. Bronners!
Corey forgot to list my personal favorite and it’s strange because I don’t really like chocolate very much, but I LOVE the chocolate flavored lip balm from http://www.Coco-Zen. Yum!
