Fresh Celebrate Green News Dec. 16, 2009

Thanks for the gift of you this year

We are so appreciative of all the interest and support we've received in 2009. It truly has been an awesome year and what we have achieved never would have been possible without the actions, ideas, backing, involvement and support of those who believe in our dream.

Our passion to inspire the world to think and act sustainably while celebrating, has only grown stronger as more and more people take our ideas and run with them. Thank you for your part in the Celebrate Green! revolution.

We hope that this season will bring you and yours great, green joy that lasts throughout the year and for many more to come.

If you're gonna shop, shop with us!

We know that the greenest thing to do is not to shop at all. But if you're planning to buy something (especially mouth watering organic cookies), why not shop with us? Our new Celebrate Green! shop is barely opened, but we're offering a select few gifts that we chose because they fit in one way or another with our quest to make holidays more meaningful and better for people and the planet.

Take a sneak peek at our new Celebrate Green store! Like what you see? Get 10% off any of the items in our shop using CODE: 10here at checkout. Be sure to watch our videos--loads of fun and (mostly), informative.

And do let us know what you think of the products. We'll be adding more soon.

Lynn wraps it up with Shaniqua Manning on Northwest cable news

It may be getting a bit late for shopping, but it's not too late to learn all the tricks for wrapping green this season with Lynn's segment on NWCN with Shaniqua Manning.

Some other recent media:

  • We talk with Mrs. Claus, yes, the real one!
  • Green Patriot Radio discussion of greening winter holidays
  • Bend Bulletin, This Christmas less is more interview
  • KSER radio, Seeing Green, on, guess what, celebrating green this holiday season!
  • Corey's story is included in One Entrepreneurs' Journey: 26 Storeis from Women on the Road, an e-book in support of the DiscoverHope Fund, which provides micro loans to women in poverty

Not too late for great green deals

Remember our coupon page with 50% off almost a dozen great eco products has great ideas at fab prices for all those lucky enough to be on your list. And our friends at Blue Avocado are offering Celebrate Green! readers a special discount of 20% off their beautiful shopping bags when you use CODE: goodgift20. We're telling you, you're going to love using these bags for years to come!.

To depend on a green seal or not? That's the question...

If you're confused about all the green "seals" that are out there and whether they help you make more eco-friendly choices, be sure to listen to the podcast of our newest radio show segment.

We had a great time with freelance writer, Paul Smalera, author of the article, The Deal Behind the New Good Housekeeping Seal: Why the magazine's green award is bogus, and Mike Fry, director of verification services for www.TheGreenParentsList.com There is no way we could cover in one show, all issues raised in this discussion so watch and listen for more on the topic in the new year.
