Fresh Celebrate Green! News-9-29-10
We lied! In the last issue, we said we'd be sending out shorter, more frequent news, with just one or two timely items. But we've been so busy with National Costume Swap Day and Green Halloween that oops, we haven't gotten around to what we promised. So from now on...well, we'll do our best. Anyway, we've got some hot news for you today!
1/2 off anything in our Celebrate Green! OpenSky shop for the next three shoppers, but purchase must be made by the end of today, September 30th! We've got organic cookies to die for, beautiful recycled silver jewelry and lots of other eco-friendlier gifts. The holidays are coming up so take advantage of this offer now! Use code: FIFTYGREEN.
Good Morning America's Sam Champion is slated to feature our very own National Costume Swap Day next Thursday October 7th! Please watch the show and let them know afterwards via Facebook, that you'd love to see more about Green Halloween!
Almost 50 swaps now listed on National Costume Swap Day site! We are so excited and grateful that people are taking to this idea which will save money and keep costumes out of landfills. Find one near you or register one. No cost to find or register. Note that not all swaps will be held on National Costume Swap Day, October 9th so if yours is not, no worries, list anyway.
Watch for us on Seattle TV next week. On Monday and Tuesday, we'll be filming segments with Brian Callanan on Q13 and back with Shaniquah Manning on KING5. Just as with GMA, if you can possibly let the stations know via their websites, Twitter or FB that you enjoyed the segments and would love to hear more about greening Holidays, that would be AWESOME!
One MILLION! That's the number of healthier-for-kids treats and treasures that will be handed out in place of conventional candy this year thanks to Green Halloween. Yup, one MILLION! Can't get over the number ourselves! In zoos and aquariums, city festivals, malls and other sites around the U.S., better-for-kids treats and treasures are all the rage. See if your local zoo or aquarium is participating and if you go, be sure to thank them for supporting healthier options!
Below are Green Halloween sponsors whose kid-proven products will be in the hands of kids instead of conventional candy.
