OH MY GOSH! We are overcome with excitement at the interest and participation in National Costume Swap Day. Last Saturday, the offical "day," we had 75 swaps listed in 23 states, D.C. and Canada!

We realized that we are going to have to re-think both the words "national" and "day." Next year looks like it will be International Costume Swap Month!

Missed a swap last week and still want to take your kids to one? There are plenty still to come this month. Just check on the National Costume Swap Day site to see if there's one near you. And if not, be sure to check out the online swaps or just get together with some friends and go for it!

And if you're in Seattle and receive this in time, watch channel 4, KOMO TV at 4 and 6 today (Friday), to catch Jennifer of Gaia's World Fun Center, and Lynn, as they talk about the swaps taking place each weekend until the end of October in at the Federal Way, WA Farmers Market.

We also were delighted to do a segment on making your own facepaints with Margaret Larson on New Day Northwest. Margaret gamely stirred our concoction and genuinely seemed to enjoy it. Either she's a very good actress or she truly did! See it here.
