u You already know we think swapping, not shopping is the way to go with Halloween costumes and even though National Costume Swap Day� has come and gone, the swaps keep on coming. There are still three dozen or more listed at www.CostumeSwapDay.com that will take place between now and Oct. 31. So check to see if there's one near you. Or organize a swap among friends. There's still plenty of time.
uDo you have a Green Halloween� partner event near you? If you live near any of 50 participating zoos and aquariums or 20+ special events, you do. These events are fun, low or no cost and provide your family with the healthier treats you want. If you do go and feel so inclined, please thank the hosts for providing alternatives to conventional candy.
u Mark your calendar for tomorrow night (Thursday, Oct. 13) 6-8 p.m. PST and join us for the first-ever #GreenHalloween Twitter Party. If you're a Twitter party newbie, directions are on this link along with how to register to be eligible for some great, green prizes.uAnd speaking of prizes, if you're not stopping by the Green Halloween blog every day this month, you're missing out on 31 Days of Green Giveaways. It�s like trick-or-treating for moms! All you need to do is comment to be eligible for each day's b-witching prizes.
uAnother prize opportunity, this time for kids: For the fourth year we're collaborating with ChicoBag� on a Halloween bag design contest.
