News that sent our excitement meter up a few notches:

We're delighted to announce that we soon will be opening an online store with The Open Sky Project. Not only will we offer a range of specially selected items that we love, but we are working with people who have a very similar vision to ours. Watch for the grand opening soon!

We were quoted in the December issue of Essence magazine and if you haven't picked up this month's edition of Mothering and KIWI magazines, do it today to see our articles about greening the holidays.

We did several segments on greening Thanksgiving and Christmas for TV last month--Portland's AM Northwest plus Shaniqua Manning's parenting segments on NWCN Northwest news in Seattle and of course the segment we did in NYC for Parents TV. Some aired last month. Watch for us in December. And please let us know what you think!

There was nothing scary about Green Halloween 2009

If you're already getting the Green Halloween newsletter or follow the GH blog, you know what a fantastic success the Green Halloween initiative achieved all across the U.S. this year. From individuals to communities, to schools, zoos, and hospitals, thousands of people participated in making this Halloween better for kids and the Earth. If you missed participating this year, be sure to sign up to receive the Green Halloween news so you can be involved in the excitement next year.

One more Green Halloween note, the drawing accompanying this article is by the 13-year-old winner in the second Green Halloween/Chico Bag design contest and will be featured on a special edition Chico bag for Halloween 2010. Isn't it fun?

Green bits

And remember to stop by and listen live or download the podcasts for our radio show. See who we interviewed (hint: It's all about the holidays), and who's on tap here.

We're members of Savor the Success, among the most useful online educational and networking groups for female entrepreneurs and again we're participating in their holiday gift catalog. Check it out. Some amazing values from amazing women!

Thanks to everyone who voted for Celebrate Green! in Greenwala's "What's Your Story" contest. We made it into the top ten from which the judges will be selecting the winner. We'll let you know what happens, but whatever the outcome, we truly appreciate your support.
