Robin’s Recipes will spice up Celebrate Green!

We confess a major failing. For two people who love to celebrate, we are woefully inadequate when it comes to one of the major aspects of almost every special event-the food! Well, we’re good at talking about shopping for it and cleaning up after the fact. And of course eating. It’s the part that comes after shopping and eating and before cleaning up-the actual cooking-where we fall short.

It’s not that we couldn’t cook if we wanted to. It’s just that while eating is high on our list of fun activities, cooking isn’t.

That’s why we couldn’t be more thrilled that someone in the green world whom we have admired for years, has agreed to become a weekly contributor to this blog by offering the holy grail of blog posts-recipes!

Yes, we are worshiping at the tiny eco-footprint of Robin Shreeves, our new contributor. Robin is a mom, writer and blogger extraordinaire. She writes about eco-friendly food options for Mother Nature News, freelances, and offers small steps to greening in her informative blog, A Little Greener Every Day.

Best of all, Robin, unlike us, knows the difference between roasting and toasting and most likely can figure out without six hours of intensive research, how many cubic centimeters are in 13.4 liters. (As we understand it, Americans who are passionate about cooking also understand the metric system).

Watch for Robin’s quick, easy, affordable, celebratory recipes every Thursday here on the Celebrate Green! blog starting April 1.

Welcome aboard Robin. We’re thrilled (and honestly, relieved), to have you!
